This is an Turkish Beaulieu Oushak rug made c. 1890s. It has a delicate soft peach, cream, and gold color way. The rugs center has large abstract floral shapes which are surrounded by 4 different patterned borders. It is completed with fringes at the top and bottom of the pile.
Oushak rugs are made in the city of Usak, Turkey and use a particular family of designs. This area has been a major rug producer since the early Ottoman Empire and into the early 20th century.
